I started online 3 years ago after receiving some spam on making money from promoting a match making service. Wish I can remember what it was….oh well. It got me thinking when I understood the concept the concept of affiliate marketing. They gave me an affiliate link that could be tracked by the matchmaking company when someone following that link joined the service. I think I threw some guaranteed traffic at my affiliate link but no sales.
I then bought the big dogs book where the idea was to join all the companies recommended which were mainly lead generation classified sites or free for all sites. Those that put their ads on these networks would receive an email back from me with my offer. There were ezines, safelists to join as well. If I got someone to buy the book then hopefully they would join all the programs. Didn t sell one book! After a couple of months got fed up and found site build it. Sit build it took me through a 10 day process from deciding on a theme for a niche site, finding the keywords, affiliate programs and the building a few pages.
A lot of work but a great education. Tried some pay per click advertising with the cheaper services from find what and 7 search, but no joy. By the end of 2004 google adsense was being talked about by a lot of marketers and I received an email on mass website generation. Gave one a try called traffic hurricane and boy did it create some junk. But it made some money. I then enrolled on Jim Fleck, Sean Casey s mentorship program and I put my my site building into overdrive. Discovered another service called metawebs which creates unique unfootprintable pages using scraped conent from their own search engine. Scraped just mean s taking bits or scraping content from another computer and putting it on your website.
Now I´m moving back to looking at business opportunities & MLM. I won´t then have to worry about the big G!! Check out how I get on here at my blog.
